Before sharing contact information, you first need to book. Your local guide will contact you within 24 hours after you have completed the booking.

FAQ for Local Guides
*Travelers can also request more locals at once. Make sure to send an awesome tour offer, as more locals are in the race of becoming the travelers' favorite local guide.
You will receive your earnings either through IBAN bank transfer (only within Europe SEPA countries) or PayPal (Worldwide) 48 hours after the tour. No transaction costs will be charged for bank transfers. In some cases, PayPal charges a transaction fee. These will be on your behalf.
20% of the total booking amount.
Example: When you hourly rate is €10, travelers pay €12,50 per hour. Your earnings are €10 and €2,50 (€12,50*20%) is our commission. The hourly rate you enter, is the hourly rate you get.
You are responsible for your personal tax declaration. Tax regulations differ from country to country. Check with your local tax authorities to which laws you need to comply.
Here are a few quick tips to get more bookings: Create an awesome profile. Reply quickly to incoming requests from traveler. Formulate clear offers regarding the things you're planning to see and do during your tour.
If the traveler cancels within 7 days before the date of the tour, the paid amount will not be refunded. The local guide will be fully compensated for blocking his/her agenda.
If the traveler cancels more than 7 days before the date of the tour, the paid amount will be refunded. In this case, the local guide will not be compensated.
If the local guide cancels, the paid amount will always be refunded.
After a local guide has cancelled a tour, we will always contact him/her to find out what went wrong. If we feel the local guide is abusing the platform, we will delete his/her Hi,hi Guide account.
We do everything within our power to prevent these situations from happening. However, we do not have control over the actions of our local guides. Local guides who do not show up at a booked tour are immediately removed from our platform.
Our policy is to pay locals their earnings 48 hours after the tour, so please let us know as soon as possible your local guide did not show up. Otherwise, we might transfer money to a local guide who did not earn it.
In order to become a local guide at Hi,hi Guide, locals have to pass our screening. We screen the profiles of local guides and verify their personal information. Also, we have a call for a short introduction.
Local guides are reviewed by travelers who have booked them. These reviews give you a good impression of what a local guide is like. If a traveler leaves a negative review, the situation will be examined by us and the local guide may be removed from the platform.
